After endless amounts of research and discussions with a materials engineer, we learned that, in most cases, it’s the oxidizing materials in the base material that cause jewelry to tarnish. We chose to use stainless steel as our baseーa material that won't tarnish.

Stainless steel is a hypoallergenic material, meaning there is minimal risk of causing an allergic reaction. While we cannot guarantee that everyone will have the same experience, we do recommend hypoallergenic jewelry as the best option for those with sensitive skin.

It's important to note that all plated jewelry will naturally experience some wear over time and may require re-plating. But through our own research and development, we chose to work with materials that will delay your need for a re-plate for as long as possible.

To further delay the plating's natural wear, we recommend avoiding direct contact with lotions and perfumes.

Never! While the golden tone of your jewelry may turn slightly darker over time, our PVD plating process and stainless steel base ensures that it will not tarnish, rust, or turn your skin green.
